A great unisex scent. Kiehl's^® Original Musk Oil is believed to have been created in the 1920's at the "Kiehl Apothecary." In 1958, it was discovered in a drum labeled simply "Love Oil"

Reintroduced in 1963, it became a huge hit in the '60's and '70's. A scent that has layers of time travel...back to the '60's, the '50s, the'20's...and even earlier. Musk was a scent favored in ancient Egypt for perfumery and has long been associated with the Land of the Nile.

Back again, in it's sensual warmth, our version is a ringer for the original scent. Probably more masculine (than feminine) out of bottle, it mellows beautifully on the skin. With notes of patchouli, ylang ylang and rose to temper the musk like the original vintage fragrance, it also is a great blender. It's rich and smooth and just gets better and better as you wear it. Brighter notes mellow somewhat in cp soap.
