Vintage Gardénia
[compare to Chanel's® Gardénia, 1925 Original-brand]
Another in our Original Vintage line of fragrances.
When it comes to vintage fragrances, Chanel® Gardénia has got to be a key fragrance. Less known than the more famous Chanel No 5®, it is as much of it's time as Coty's® L'Origan was of the Edwardian era.
Unmistakably elegant and as pretty as lace and pearls, this fragrance is formal, dressy and delicate... Daisy Buchannan at a North Shore Garden Party. Perhaps not as sporty and casual as Flappers were reputed to be but daring, sultry and remarkably modern.
Jasmine and Orange Blossom open this luminous white floral bouquet with ample assistance from a rich Tuberose accord. Supporting notes in the aldehydic drydown include Clove Bud, Dalmatian Sage, Pimento Berry, Musk, Patchouli, Sandalwood and Haitian Vetiver. Elegantly balanced, this is a masterfully blended scent. Just gorgeous!
