Vega™

Longing for his lover, Altair, Vega is the Star of the Celestial Herder of the Tanabata Legend in Japan.

Vega and Altair were lovers. So passionate were they that they neglected their work, leading their employer to separate them with an impassable river. One day of the year... the Seventh Day of the Seventh Month... they could be with each other. Deeply sensual and infused with longing, this fragrance is named for the masculine half of the legend.

Vega is warm, woodsy and unmistakably sensual. The fragrance opens with top notes of Orris, Coumarin and Mandarin Peel. At the heart of this scent Amber Crystals, Incense and Black Fig provide a warmth. Base notes of Kashmir Woods, Napa Leather and Birch Wood support and anchor the composition with a richly astringent counterpoint that plays up the leather accord.

We did notice a tendency to get hot, but found keeping mixing temperatures low made it manageable.

Medium toffee.

Performance in CP soap:

Powerful at 0.7 Oz./Lb. usage rate, this fragrance really comes alive in CP soap. No morphing or fading noted in over one year of testing.

Performance in Candles:

Excellent hot and cold scent throw in soy wax after a short one week cure.
