Sugar Pumpkin Chai

Was lucky enough to be invited to dinner when my friend had both sides of her family visiting; was treated to two delightful journeys for the senses. First was a smooth drink, steeped in traditional spices blended with the new world squash of the season; was told of how the flavor combination was a happy accident that was kept and folded into a new tradition. Soothed but not sleepy, I asked for a sample of the family secret spices to make my own cup at home.

Warm and cozy, delightfully wholesome, and a perfect marriage of fresh pumpkin with the astringency of a sweetened, milky chai. This scent is simply uplifting. Not too sugary and the pumpkin notes really stand out.

Top Notes:  Wild Pumpkin Flower, Green Cardamom, Fresh Ginger Root, Frothy Milk.
Middle Notes:  Sugar Pumpkin Flesh, Masala Spice, Cinnamon, Vanilla Absolute, Black Pepper.
Base Notes:  Black Tea Accord, Brown Sugar, Jaggery, Agarwood.

And it's phthalate-free, too!
