The site is hosted and mirrored on multiple worldwide secured sites for crash-free operation. In fact, we have operated our website round-the-clock since 2003 without any downtime.

Secure Sockets Layer: as an integral part of our Yahoo! Store shopping cart's operation, we use a technology called Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) with 128-bit encryption. If your browser is capable of SSL (and the vast majority are), your personal information will be automatically encrypted, or encoded, before you submit your order to our server.

- Alternate Shipping Address(es): orders are normally restricted to shipping only to the cardholder's billing address unless an alternate shipping address has been specifically added to the customer's cardholder record and can be independently verified with the card issuer.
- Address Verification System (AVS): AVS is a card-issuer-based system for automatically verifying addresses at the time of initial credit card authorization. Pursuant to Company Policy, all credit card orders must have both billing and shipping addresses verified. We will not normally ship to an unverified address. Since addresses outside the United States (except, at present, for some in Canada and United Kingdom) cannot be AVS-verified, we cannot accept credit card orders from these locations and they must be paid using the PayPal system. Also, credit card orders for non-U.S. destinations that are AVS-verified may be shipped only to the billing address unless otherwise specified.
- Signature Service: an order shipment may be required to have a signature for the carrier to release it. This requirement is based on certain fraud detection and prevention criteria and may be applied at the sole discretion of, with cost borne by, Scent-works.com unless otherwise specified.
Credit Card-specific Information (CCI): as an added precaution, critical credit card-specific information (card number, expiration date, CVV2 code) is automatically deleted after administration of an order is completed. This precludes future fraudulent activity.
