Oh! De London®[1]
[compare to Yardley of London®-brand]
Originally introduced by Yardley of London® during the Mod era in the 1960's, this scent embodied the growing fascination with youth and all things Brit.
With supermodel Jean Shrimpton as their spokesperson, Yardley of London® broke away from their image as a purveyor of stodgy classic English matronly scents, like their famous Yardley English Lavender®.
Delicate, feminine and powdery, it was popular with a younger crowd. Along with the miniskirt, the scent vanished by the early 70's, and is almost impossible to find. We managed to find an original bottle of the scent, and had our perfumers recreate our version of this sweet and cheeky souvenir.
Our Oh! De London (type) fragrance has top notes of violet, bergamot, Russian sage and Roman chamomile. Middle notes of Chinese geranium, clove bud, rose petal, violet, lily of the valley, ylang-ylang, nutmeg and heliotrope. Dries down with base notes of Sandalwood, stryax, Virginia Cedar, vanilla bean, oakmoss and vetiver.
