A very interesting and lusty citrusy scent.
Originally cultivated by Ukrainian monks in the 11th century, Gooseberry was so named because it was often used to make a sauce for Roast Goose. As a food, it is reputed to have medicinal properties, which include being diuretic, slightly laxative, astringent and remineralizing.
The flavor is almost citrusy, with a rich winey perfume. Further enhanced with sharp, tangy ginger, this fragrance blends sweet with hot, acrid with fruity and floral with spice. Like the region where it originated, it straddles eastern and western flavors.

Middle Notes: Sour Cherry, Lavender, Wild Strawberry Leaf and Fresh Chinese Ginger
