Ginger Krumkake™
On December 13 in Sweden, the Feast of Santa Lucia is celebrated as a Festival of Light. Young Swedish girls wear white dresses with scarlet sashes, and wear a wreath of leaves, lingonberries and white candles.
Carrying trays of Saffron and Spice Cakes, they travel from home to home before returning to their own homes before dawn. Although the feast is now celebrated on December 13, it originally fell on December 21, the shortest day of the year, and celebrated the return of the Sun. St. Lucia is the patron saint of the eyes... or the Windows of the Soul.
This fragrance is a tantalizing blend of the rich, spicy scents of gingerbread baked with saffron, nutmeg, cinnamon, molasses, vanilla, brown sugar and butter notes.
And it's phthalate-free, too!
Packaged in HDPE containers.
