Gingergrass Essential Oil
Description: A perennial, herbacious plant. Slender stems and leaves are topped wtih flowering tops. Foliage is fragrant with characteristic fresh, green, sharp odor.
Color & Consistency: Golden yellow to amber, thin liquid.
Strength of Aroma: Strong.
Common Uses: Improves circulation and blood flow, reduces stress, calms, is uplifing. Excellent for relief of sinus congestion, euphoric, aphrodesiac.
Note: Top. Sharp green note that is particularly well suited to men’s colognes and fresher, sportier scents. |
Blends with: Jasmin Absolute, Lavender, Black Pepper, Citrus, Rosewood, Rosemary, Palmarosa, Chinese Geranium, rose and floral blends.
Aromatic Scent: Sharp, peppery, fatty sweet herbal rose, woody, grassy.
History: This unique oil is a relative of lemongrass, grown in Maharasthra, India. It has gentle spicy earth notes, and has many uses in Ayurvedic and indigenous formulations. It has been distilled since the 18th century in India.
Cautions: Gingergrass can irritate the skin of those who are sensitive. All topical applications should be carried out in dilution. |
