Frost Apple^™

Brisk early morning, strolled through a farmers’ market as it set up on the edge of an orchard. Already the sun is rising later in New Hampshire and an early frost has coated everything with crystals.

A bushel began to topple in front of me; caught and helped the farmer right it. She handed me an apple off the top in thanks. It glittered in the growing light and tasted crisp and sweet as I bit into it and continued my walk, dry leaves swirling around my ankles.

Sweet, fresh, definitely apples — but a blend of several varieties — tart Macintosh, sweet Pink Lady, sturdy Rome. And cider! Lighter woods, more leafy, slightly earthy spices... maybe a touch of cinnamon? This scent is like a crisp, crunching walk; not a wild woods but not a grove either; in between. This is what you're doing before you go inside as the lengthening shadows stretch across golden late afternoon light.

Top Notes:  Apple Blossom, Asian Pear, Cider.
Middle Notes:  Apple, Maple Leaf, Clove, Cinnamon, Acorn Meal.
Base Notes:  Vanilla, Sandalwood, Golden Oak, Patchouli, Raspberry.

And it's phthalate-free, too!

Can move a little faster because of spice notes so keep temperatures low.

Overall:

Soaps well but can move a little fast. Doesn't morph but cider notes seem to become stronger as soap cures.

Very Good

Cure time:

Short, 3 days.

A delightful apple scent.
