California Navel Orange
In 1873, Eliza Tibbets was given three branches of a Brazillian variety of oranges by an official of the US Dept. of Agriculture. In five years, she had three fruit-bearing trees and started California's Riverside Navel Orange industry.
The particular variety she developed is the Washington Navel, which is the most popular eating orange in the world, and every navel orange is a descendent of those three trees. In fact, the three original trees are still alive and bearing fruit. Some would say that's a miracle!
This fragrance is probably the most true-to-life scent we've ever developed. The scent is perfect... you can smell the fresh cut fruit, the bright peel, acrid white pith, and dripping, sweet juice. There are no flowery or perfumey notes; no marmalade, cake or sugar; no vanilla; and no woods, resins or herb.
This incredible, strong fragrance is pure orange fruit... and it is strong. What a great, true scent... and it's phthalate-free, too!
