Bronze Scuppernong™
We found these gorgeous, huge bronze beauties at our local farmer's market and instantly fell in love.
Thick-skinned with a rich, heavenly perfume, they have an unsurpassed sweetness. Like a Concord, you don't eat the skin because it's very tough. But recipes for a Scuppernong Skin Pie circulate in local cookbooks, and the jelly and wine from this fruit is a true Carolina classic. Bronze Scuppernong grapes, along with their purple Muscadine cousins, are the only native grapes in North America. Earliest explorers marveled at the vines laden with perfumed globes which were enjoyed by Algonquians.
Rich grape on a background of soft greenery, oak woods and the slight musk of fresh earth. Topnotes of sweet wine, oak and wildflowers.
And it's phthalate-free, too!
Packaged in HDPE containers.
